Alpacas at The Texas State Fair again in 2006! Let us know if you would like to help - email us!

There were a number of recent developments in the Camelid Community, minutes and other information concerning the August 2005 meeting are located below. At this meeting it was reported that the State of Missouri has re-classified Alpacas from Exotic Livestock to Domestic Livestock. The implications are quite significant if we can get this change adopted throughout the US. STAR is proposing that TxOLAN and other interested non-affiliate organizations within the state of Texas partner in negotiating with the Texas State legislature to re-classify Alpacas in Texas.

There will be more conversation and notice sent to all Texas Alpaca ranchers as the planning stage begins.
